Great Northern Mountain Escape is situated on Whitefish Mountain, conveniently located just minutes from Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort.
Since its establishment in 1945, the resort has been a haven for ski enthusiasts, boasting over 110 named runs spanning an expansive 3,000 acres. In addition to its groomed runs, the resort offers a diverse range of terrain parks, a skier/boardercross course, and vast expanses of bowls and glades renowned for their exceptional tree skiing opportunities. The resort’s comprehensive infrastructure includes 11 chairlifts, a T-bar, and a conveyor carpet for beginners.
Whitefish Mountain Resort is equally (if not more) popular for its summer activities.
The Bike Park features a 2,353-foot vertical drop serviced by two lifts. It offers over 30 miles of downhill trails and one mile of cross-country trails.

Ride a rolling sled down dips, around banked turns, under bridges and through a tunnel while controlling your speed with a hand brake. Each lap down includes a ride on Chair 6 back to the top of the slides.

Great Northern Mountain Escape is situated on 12.5 private acres overlooking Whitefish Lake in Whitefish, Montana.
The house consists of 7 bedrooms (4 en suite), 6 full baths, 3 half baths and 5 living rooms for a combined living space of 8,600 square feet. (excluding decks and patios).
There is an expansive main deck, two third floor private decks and a large patio on the lower level providing an array of options for your wedding venue or other special event!
Unique to Great Northern Mountain Escape, we also offer a 3,600 square foot concrete slab (situated approximately 100 yards from the house) which serves as a perfect platform for your event tent, or even a landing pad for your private helicopter!

We began our journey in December 2021, acquiring the undeveloped land that is now Great Northern Mountain Escape. Our vision for the property was expertly refined and executed by architectural firm Studio Winterich.
